We are proud to announce the Ambassadors who have been selected for the 2012 Ambassador Challenge. The Ambassadors have been selected from schools around Australia and will take part in a three month training and development program before travelling to Cambodia in December this year with Oaktree volunteers to visit our project partners overseas.

Bori Ahn – ACT
Bori is in Year 11 at Canberra Girls’ Grammar School. She has been a member of the Schools 4 Schools Seed Group at the school. She also participated in Live Below the Line where she helped coordinate it at her school. Bori’s hobbies include reading, drawing, stretching and listening to and making music.
Joe Cavanagh – SA
Joe is in Year 10 at St Peters’ College in Adelaide. He has been a member of the Schools 4 Schools Seed Group at St Peters’ and also participated in the SA State Summit in March this year. Joe enjoys running, football, cricket, golf and fishing.
Grace Ephraums – ACT
Grace is in Year 11 at St Clare’s in Canberra. After attending the State Summit earlier in the year she participated in Live Below the Line where she was one of the top fundraisers in the state. In her spare time Grace enjoys listening to music, photography, drawing, scrapbooking and playing netball.
Noam Marom – VIC
Noam is in Year 10 at Leibler Yavneh College in Melbourne. Earlier this year he participated in Live Below the Line, organising events at his school to promote the initiative. Noam is interested in politics and human rights and his hobbies include footy and reading.
Jess Matthews – WA
Jess is in Year 11 at St Mary’s Girls School in Perth. She is a leader at the Schools 4 Schools Seed Group at St Mary’s. She also participated Live Below the Line earlier this year. In her spare time she enjoys reading, playing violin, cooking and playing AFL.
Hannah McHunter – QLD
Hannah is in Year 12 at the Queensland Academy of Health Sciences on the Gold Coast, where she is one of the leaders of the Schools 4 Schools Seed Group.
Laura Russo – SA
Laura is in Year 11 at Pembroke College, where she is a leader of the Schools 4 Schools Seed Group. She attended the Schools 4 Schools SA Summit earlier this year and was one of the top student fundraisers for Live Below the Line. She also volunteers for the Australian Refugees Association and as a surf lifesaver. In her spare time she enjoys surfing, swimming and scuba-diving.
Katelyn Unwin – Vic
Katelyn is in Year 10 at Haileybury College. Earlier this year she participated in Live Below the Line where she was one of the top student fundraisers in Victoria. Katelyn enjoys music, art, tennis, travelling and photography and has a passion for travelling, exploring new cultures and learning about them.
